Yan Fu

Yan Fu is a civil rights and employment lawyer and the founder of The Fu Firm PLLC.  He represents plaintiffs in police misconduct and employment discrimination matters in federal and state courts in New York.

Prior to starting his own firm, Yan worked as an associate at a litigation firm in New York City.  Before entering private practice, Yan served as a New York State Assistant Attorney General under three successive Attorneys General. There, he represented New York State agencies and their employees in litigation matters. At the Attorney General’s Office, Yan handled matters of significant public and legal importance, several of which developed the law.   

Yan is a graduate of Columbia Law School and the George Washington University.  He is a member of the National Police Accountability Project, the Federal Bar Council, and the Asian American Bar Association of New York.
