Maya Brodziak (she/her)
Vice President of College Division
Maya serves as Senior Counsel with the Educational Opportunities Project where she is responsible for litigating cases related to ensuring that all students receive equal educational opportunities in public schools and institutions of higher learning.
Prior to joining the Lawyers' Committee, she was an associate at Sher Tremonte LLC, focusing on complex criminal litigation and criminal defense. Maya also clerked for the Honorable Pamela K. Chen in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Maya graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School where she served as an Executive Editor of the Harvard Law & Policy Review. She graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with degrees in history and government. She also received a Master’s in Education Policy from The George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development. Following law school, Maya was a Skadden Fellow at Lawyers for Children where she represented children in Manhattan Family Court and school discipline administrative hearings.
