Linda S. Lin
President
Linda S. Lin is the founder of the Law School Division of the Sotomayor Program (formerly Joint Minority Bar Judicial Internship Program, which merged with the Sotomayor Program in 2015). Linda currently serves as General Counsel at Coaction Global, Inc. where she leads the legal, regulatory, and compliance function and oversees product development, state filings, and internal audit. Prior to joining Coaction, Linda served as SVP, General Counsel, Business Unit Legal and co-headed Regulatory at QBE North America (QBENA). Prior to joining QBENA, Linda served in various legal, claims and product development roles at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance and Liberty International Underwriters. Before entering the insurance industry, Linda was a litigator with the law firm of Willkie Farr & Gallagher. She also served as law clerk to the Hon. Dora L. Irizarry, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of New York.
In addition to serving as president of the Sotomayor Program, she is a member of the Eastern District of NY Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel and board member of the Asian American Law Fund of NY. She has also served as president of the Asian American Bar Association of New York in 2011 and Commissioner on the 2011 NYC Districting Commission. A native New Yorker and mother of three, Linda received her B.A., with honors, from Binghamton University and her J.D, cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society.
